Heidi Velvick


I have been an Ofsted registered childminder since 2007 and was graded good in all areas at my last inspection.


I live in Paddock Wood with my husband and two children, one at Invicta Grammar School and one at Mascalls Academy.


I have a playroom with a wide range of toys suitable for all age groups, as well as a fully enclosed, child friendly garden with outdoor toys.  We have a rabbit, called Lucy, and two guinea pigs,  and a Leopard Gecko..

 


I follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) for all children up to the end of their reception year and plan activities around the interests, age and stage of each individual child.


Training/Experience



Typical Weekly Activities


During the week we visit various toddler groups, soft play sessions and music groups.  We also go to the library and visit local parks and woods (often for picnics when the weather is good).  I also organise craft and cooking activities for when we are at home.


During school holidays I plan days out to places such as Bedgebury or the beach, often with other childminders and their children.


Hours/Charges


My working hours are 8.00am - 5.30pm Monday to Friday, term time and school holidays.


I accept childcare vouchers and am also able to offer funded sessions for children from the term after their 3rd birthday to when they start school (15 or 30hours per week) depending on eligibility.
